Kids travel kit

The boy now perks his ears up every time the postman knocks. He’s always sure it’s something for him. He has been a bit miffed recently as there have been a lot of large, exciting looking parcels arriving at the door. Unfortunately for him they have all been wedding related.

Friday morning brought him joy though – a large parcel with his name on it! And even better, when he opened it; a large cardboard suitcase with his name on it!

Check out the excited face:

We were sent this by the icarinsurance website, who are running a kids on the road travel entertainment campaign, and are sending these fabby cases full of goodies out. As well as on the move entertainment, they give your kids a sense of having their own stuff to look after and carry when travelling.

I was impressed by all the stuff in it!

We found:

  • A car window shade (which leapt out of the box and made Rian almost have an accident, and me laugh so much I nearly had one too)
  • A travel neck pillow
  • A disposable camera
  • A tamagotchi pet
  • A sticker book
  • A car activities book
  • Felt tips
  • Bubbles

The car activity book is great, it has things like car bingo, where you have to spot certain things/types of car/bikes etc then cross them off until you have finished the sheet. Rian will LOVE this when we go away for the wedding.

We managed to wrestle most of it off him and get it back in the box for the journey, but the bubbles had to come out:

Isn’t he gorgeous? *proud mum face*

I also had a fit of nostalgia and set up the Tamagotchi, which I am now regretting, because I can hear the poor little thing beeping for its dinner, but can I find it? No. Sigh.

Can’t wait to use this next time we travel, and we will keep the box for future journeys too.
