I didn’t want to talk to Rian about the horrible events in the capital the other week and the tragedy in Westminster. What I did do was to sit down and build a little London with him – of our favourite part of London, where we regularly take him on boat trips and day trips.
I’ve been wanting to get some Lego architecture for ages, so this one from Kids Toy Club was perfect. He’s only 6 and this set was for 12+ but working together we made it easily (we like to sort all the pieces into their separate colours to make them easier to find. I was quite surprised that this one didn’t bag the elements separately, but it didn’t hold us up too much)
There was a real pleasure in seeing it come together, bit by bit. We love you London.
