The one thing that I really hoped Rian would inherit from me was my love for reading. I was a ridiculously precocious reader, as soon as I’d picked it up I was off with no stopping me and I’ve barely stopped since (except when I was pregnant and my brain disappeared)
Rian isn’t hugely interested in books just yet – he’d rather be bombing around shooting at me with his Nerf guns, violent little sod, but I do encourage him when I can, which is why I said yes of course to reviewing a book pack from The Happy Book Club.
We now have two lovely new books to add to our shelf, and we also got two bookmarks to decorate and some activity sheets to colour and draw on. Rian was especially pleased with the book marks!
