I realised last year that a lot of Christmas presents I see being touted are a bit rubbish. While I delight in buying family members I secretly don’t like hand lotion sets, I feel a bit bad about foisting tat on people I do like. Then it occurred to me – boozy presents! Actually someone bought me a bottle of gin for my birthday (which is right before Christmas) and I was like yes maaate. So here’s a Boozy Christmas Gift Guide – you’ll be everyone’s best mate promise.
Let’s start as we mean to go on, I would love to get myself this Edinburgh Gin advent calendar but it’s a bit steep at £120! Who’s going to get it for me, anyone? Anyone?
To carry on the gin theme, maybe a festive turn with this make your own Christmas Gin Kit from NotOnTheHighStreet (always a go to for good presents at any time of year!)
It doesn’t actually include the gin though, and you actually make vodka into gin…interesting! NotOnTheHighStreet is also good for little stocking fillers, or Secret Santa presents on a budget – like these Prosecco sweeties! Yes please.
For someone who really likes their spirits, or if they need their spirit cabinet refilling after surviving the ravages of teenagers parties (sorry Mum) then this is a fabulous gift – a monthly subscription to The Summerton Club. It’s expensive again at £50 per month (a short subscription maybe!) but you do get top class spirits that you might not even be able to buy in this country like this Swedish Single Malt MackMyra Gruvguld that they very kindly sent us. This’ll keep the cockles warm! Evie isn’t very impressed this isn’t something for her…
I always get a couple of extra bottles of wine at Christmas incase anyone turns up unexpectedly bearing gifts (usually because Husband has invited them over and neglected to tell me) but this year I might also get a couple of these from Tesco – what a lovely little prezzie and a complete bargain for £6! A flute, bath bubbles and a mini bottle of fizz. I might get some for myself – emergency prosecco bath! Maybe I should add this to my Gift Guide For Husband’s – he’d probably secretly like this after a chilly round of golf!
Seeing as it’s coming up to Christmas and I’m feeling very festive I thought I would treat one of my readers to the Christmas Gin Making Kit! You know what to do – UK only and my usual T&C’s apply, only this giveaway has nothing to do with the brand or me being sent anything, it’s a gift from me for someone lucky!
