Clever Bees Club is a new monthly subscription box aimed at providing your child with fun, interactive toys, puzzles, recipes, books – everything you need to keep your child entertained and happy for quite some time!
We were lucky enough to be sent a box to review for this brand new start up company – a family business run by father of three Mark, who came up with the idea for the box after a fraught trip to Toys R Us with all three girls intent on getting value for their pocket money! He realised they were interested in a huge range of things, and wanted quantity rather than a single high value purchase. Throw a desire to educate into the mix, and the Clever Bees Club was born.
The boy was beside himself with excitement when the frankly huge box with his name on turned up at the door! We had to open it immediately…
We soon realised that this month’s box theme was water.
There were goggles, a water squirter, bath crayons, a toothbrush & flannel, books, recipes, a star chart, an activity book, The Gruffalo, an ice cube tray (initially confused but all shall become clear) as well as loads of other bits and bobs.
The ice cube tray it turns out is to aid the experiment in the box – studying how ice melts and how the weather and direct sunlight can speed it up or slow it down. I wanted to include some experiment photo’s but we haven’t had any direct sunlight for about a month so I decided I had to do the review without. It’ll be a good one for the summer holidays…I have faith the sun will come out one day?
There is SO MUCH great stuff in this box, it’s an absolute bargain at £19.95 per month. You can find out more about the Clever Bees Club on their website. You could also enter my fantastic giveaway to win a free THREE month subscription worth almost £60! That’s months of entertainment right there that is. We’re still working through ours!
Ah lovely review! We received one of these boxes and my son LOVED the ice cube tray. He was asking every five minutes if it was solid yet. Then spent ages playing with his ice. It’s such a simple idea, but not one I’ve ever really thought of doing before. X
What a great review! Thanks so much for your kind words. We’re over the moon that you enjoyed it, shame the weather hasn’t played ball though!
Mark
Such a lovely review Sarah. I love subscription boxes… I think my only problem will be choosing a right one when G is old enough. Such a good idea to inspire activities! #triballove x
A great review. You really get a lot in the box! We are holding out for the better weather so we can get out and use some of the products 🙂
Ahh I love these subscription boxes! (Post that isn’t bill is always exciting, but those graze boxes always got me waiting for the postman! So sad!) Unfortunately, this is wayyyy out of the age range for Mini 🙁 Lucy xx #triballove
Ooo love the box, my son is probably too young for this BUT I would love to play with the puzzles! Also the ice melting knowledge sounds like it could be interesting. I entered! Hope I win heheh.
Such a great idea Sarah. I think even an almost empty box turning up on doorstep caps a visit to the shops. Something about a hand delivery just for you? My Dad is always ordering stuff as he can’t get out much and has the anticipation of the arrival. I could do with the ice cube tray myself for summer drinks in the garden with friends! Lovely photographs, he’s got your dimples lucky boy! Jo x
