I do get sent the funniest things. This one is brilliant – an inflatable booster seat! I was pretty keen to test run this one because Rian and I have to use taxi’s a lot, and it’s not always practical to take his solid booster seat, especially because I have to do things after dropping him off at school – I can’t exactly put it in my handbag!
This inflatable one though fits very nicely in a canvas tote, or my big handbag – it’s fab. It’s very sturdy, and really easy to inflate – you twist the valve, puff it up, and then twist the valve shut. No worries about losing a lid! It doesn’t take much to blow up either. I’ve been wary of blow up things since blowing up an entire mattress at a festival, nearly having a heart attack from the effort only to wake up in the morning with the sodding thing flat as a pancake from some hidden hole.
I digress – where was I? Oh yeah – easy to blow up! It looks quite diddy, and *whispers* might not do for a child large in the posterior area, but your average 4-11 year old would fit comfortably on it. There are plastic hooks on the sides that you slide the seat belt through to make it a better fit on the lap.
This is such a great holiday pack – much less worry in transfers and taxis knowing they are that little bit safer than they would be just with the seat belt. It really wouldn’t take up much room in your suitcase or even your hand luggage. I’ve been using mine every day for my horrible taxi school run (yes I know I know PASS YOUR TEST ALREADY *cries*)
It is also really good for car pooling – you could give friends and their kids lifts without worrying because you could keep one of these in the glove compartment ready for action – it comes with a bag to keep it rolled up in!
A happy customer, as you can see! You can buy one of these on Amazon for £29.99 (BubbleBum Travel Car Booster Seat, Union Jack)
