A Quick & Easy Lunch

I was asked to review some of the new Steve’s Leave’s salad bowl range.

I’d already heard of the company because I’ve used their salad bags back when I used to have one of those meal delivery boxes (can’t remember which one I tried a few!) So I was pretty pleased to be sent a Terrific Thai and a Perfect Ploughman’s.

I’ll admit that I’m not usually a massive fan of salad bowls – or salad in general actually. I think I associated it with deprivation diets! But seeing as I’m not on a deprivation diet, I could just enjoy these instead.

It’s so easy to have things like this on your shopping list for days when you know you will be busy, and when you’d probably otherwise end up eating biscuits for lunch or taking bites straight out of the cheese in the fridge (look, I’m the only one who eats it ok, it’s mine and I can bite it if I want to)

The Terrific Thai was really tasty, the dressing was light and fresh and citrusy. I loved putting all the bits (including mango and carrot and coconut, yum) together (I’m sad I know) and mixing it up. This will definitely be going on my Ocado shopping list! This would be great as a side with some fish – ceviche with lime juice especially. A bowl will serve two as a side definitely.

terrific thai salad bowlThe Perfect Ploughmans was also good – it comes with gherkins, pearl onions, crackers and chutney as well as cheese. I added a little olive oil and balsamic to the rest of the leaves as I like to have extra dressing and it was super tasty.

I will be buying these again when I know I have a busy week on, it’s great to have a speedy, healthy lunch in the fridge for when I’m flat out. You can buy them in Waitrose and Ocado RRP £2.39

**Disclaimer: I was sent these bowls for review and had to use stock pictures due to an unfortunate phone-meet-floor incident, but enjoyment and words are all my own**

  1. These look amazing! So quick and easy, I am so lazy when it comes to making salads so I really need to get some of these in 🙂
