A Lovely Day at The Epson #PaperFightHunt

We had a lovely last day of half term. We were invited to go to a Treasure Hunt – the Epson #PaperFightHunt!

It was really nice to get out of the house and get into town – I rarely take Rian into London because it’s a bit of a pain if it’s busy, but everything was really smooth and we arrived first (I’m always first – I’m compulsively early, I get panicky if I think I’m going to be late for something!) but were soon joined by some other bloggers – it’s always nice putting names to faces. I was especially pleased that Fran and the Whingelets came – I’ve met Fran a few times now but it’s the first time I’ve met the cherubs.

They joined us while we were exploring the garden where the treasure hunt was laid – our task was to find five escaped animals!

Rian went right off as usual, leaving muggins to actually, you know, read the clues…Epson #PaperFightHunt

The gardens were wild and gorgeous – we even met a fox (a real one, I’m not sure who jumped more, us or him!) We also found the escaped animals for all our clues! By the time Fran arrived Rian and I had found them all – so Rian took it upon himself to ‘help’ Fran find them too, while I snuck back and availed myself of the chocolate muffins on offer.

The rain kindly held off for the treasure hunt, but it tipped it down as soon as we finished! Luckily, the awesome PR ladies had bought umbrellas! Not that Fran and I got to use them – they were swiftly commandeered by these two!

We even squeezed in a trip to the Imperial War Museum, which being full of trucks, bombs and planes, they naturally LOVED.

All in all, a very successful and enjoyable day! Thanks Epson (and Fran!)

PS if you want to have a go at making the paper animals you can find out about them and the campaign here.
